BOWEL CLEANSING

The most important part of having a colonoscopy is ensuring your large bowel is well cleansed, so that the gastroenterologist can have good views during the procedure.

Bowel cleansing starts the day BEFORE your colonoscopy and requires fasting as well as the consumption of bowel cleansing solution, that is formulated to cause diarrohea for several hours. This is necessary to ensure clean a bowel for the procedure and should be strictly followed.
